Last week, the Intelligent Community Forum announced the Smart21 Communities of 2017 for it’s annual Intelligent Community Awards cycle. Three communities in SWIFT territory were named to this year’s list of communities leading the way in leveraging the opportunities of the broadband economy. Grey County, Lambton County, and Sarnia-Lambton join four other communities from Canada, five communities from Taiwan, four communities from Australia, and one each from Kazakhstan, New Zealand, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. This select group of communities will now be in contention for the prestigious designation of Intelligent Community of the Year in June 2017.
Congratulations to all communities recognized as a Smart21 Community of 2017. We are proud of the communities from the SWIFT region for being recognized among this elite list of leaders.
