(Southwestern Ontario ) May 21, 2025 – SWIFT is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of its Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on May 8th, 2025, in which Gary McNamara, Essex County Councillor, was re-appointed as the SWIFT Board Chair for a one-year term.
“We’re pleased to have Gary McNamara return as Chair. His leadership has provided steady guidance and continuity for the organization,” said Barry Field, Executive Director, SWIFT. “Together with our Board of Directors, whose collective expertise continues to drive our strategic direction, SWIFT is well positioned to support the expansion of broadband infrastructure throughout Southwestern Ontario.”
SWIFT is also pleased to report that there have been no changes to its current board membership. The existing Board of Directors will maintain their roles, providing strategic guidance and oversight to support SWIFT’s broadband infrastructure initiatives.
“As Chair of the SWIFT Board, I’m proud to once again serve alongside this dedicated group of leaders,” said Gary McNamara, SWIFT Board Chair. “Together, we will continue building on the progress we’ve made to improve internet connectivity in rural and underserved areas and support ongoing efforts to expand access across Southwestern Ontario.”
